Building Momentum for the Ideas, Conversations, and Legislation that Restore Power and National Wealth to the People
(using our social networking superpowers)

BUILDING MOMENTUM is about using our amazing networking capabilities and new media to disempower corporate-controlled outlets and their ridiculous political show. We need to find new, creative ways to get consistent, actionable messages heard by the majority of the public.

Know Your Opponent

Recognize that the ultra-wealthy got that way through exploitation—of resources, environment, labor, and law—and have been creative, organized, and determined in building and maintaining the status quo. They buy media, build algorithms, and use their enormous reach to divide us and prevent us from building and sharing a consistent platform for change.

Why is it hardly ever reported when a great bill that would return power to the people gets introduced in Congress?? Every time this happens, it should be a big story, with the info voters need to tell their reps they want it passed. Usually missing in stories about legislation, good or bad, is the deadlines for getting it heard in committee and for voters to submit testimony for or against it.

  • We have to be MORE creative, and MORE organized. With ubiquitous online messaging promoting a few “status quo breaking” priorities, and bringing desperately needed attention to shaping a better future, we can sweep away the obfuscation and cleverly deceptive sociopolitical messaging that upholds corporate welfare and prevents clear, organized action to fairly distribute Earth’s abundance within and among nations.
  • Develop clear, simple messages and keep the conversations growing. Make it easy for voters to educate themselves and find information about participating in democracy (in ways working people have time for!), and how their representatives in Congress are voting on the issues.
  • Know that to understand American politics, you have to understand economics and capitalism. And believe it or not, it’s not boring at all! Starter links are on the bottom half of this page, with lots more on the way.

How to Build It

Ralph Nader spearheaded the successful passing of a lot of legislation, in the days before huge corporations bought the major news outlets and put a stop to investigative reporting that didn’t work in their favor. On March 8, 2025, Chris Hedges interviewed Mr. Nader in an extremely informative interview about successful political activism and what changed.

This gives us a good idea of what we need to do to change things back so voters can get popular legislation passed again.
